A Bittersweet Goodbye: Vision Sports Club to Close its Doors
Dear Vision Sports Club Family,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce a significant change for Vision Sports Club. Effective September 30th, Vision will be closing its doors to the public. All monthly billing will stop as of September 30, 2024. Any necessary adjustments will be prorated and credited accordingly to each member. If you have any questions, please email billing@visionsc.com.
As many of you know, Vision has been part of the Lagana family of businesses, together with our main business, USIS, which has also been a cornerstone in this community. Due to a necessary consolidation of USIS’s two locations and because several prospective relocation sites did not materialize, we were faced with a very difficult decision. As such, the only feasible option open to us within the required timeframe was to consolidate into the space currently occupied by Vision.
For the past 16 years, Vision has been more than just a gym. It has been a place where members became friends, fitness goals were achieved, and countless memories were made. Since we opened our doors on February 20th, 2008, we have been proud to serve Pearl River and the surrounding communities and to become an integral part of their fabric.
This decision was incredibly hard and emotional for us. Vision Sports Club has been more than a business, it has been a labor of love. The memories we’ve created with our amazing staff and loyal members will stay with us forever.
We’ve shared many special moments together, from our Vision barbeques to the Vision Fitness Expos and Seminars. We had the privilege of hosting Dr. Oz at Vision for our “New Year, New You” kickoff. Vision was even featured on national television when we hosted the ABC show “What Would You Do” not once, but twice! Events like these brought our members and the community into the club.
And who could forget our famous seasonal displays? From Valentine’s Day to our spectacular Christmas decorations, Vision always dressed the club to celebrate the holidays. These moments, along with so many others, have made Vision a place of joy and connection. But it’s not just these events that stand out. We’ve watched young members grow into adults, seen our teenage employees embark on successful careers, and witnessed members meet, fall in love, marry, and start families, all while remaining part of the Vision family. These personal milestones have enriched our community and made Vision a true home away from home.
We are not saying goodbye entirely. Although we will no longer operate as a public membership gym, we are planning to transform a part of Vision into a small boutique private training studio. This transition will allow us to maintain a connection to our fitness community and continue to provide personalized training in a more intimate setting.
As we look back on the past sixteen years, we celebrate and deeply appreciate the incredible journey we’ve taken together. Your unique stories and cherished experiences have made Vision Sports Club a very special place. We hope the memories we’ve created together will always hold a place in your hearts.
We are thankful for your unwavering support and dedication over the years. Vision wouldn’t have been what it was, without each and every one of you. You’ve truly been the heart and soul of the club, and for that, we are forever grateful!
With deepest appreciation,
Robert S. Lagana
